Functions Of Indoor High-Voltage Vacuum Circuit Breakers

Core Control Functions
Under normal operating conditions, it enables manual or automatic switching (opening and closing) of high-voltage circuits, allowing equipment such as transformers, high-voltage motors, and feeders to be connected to or disconnected from the grid, thereby meeting the needs of various power supply configurations.
Designed for frequent operation, it withstands the mechanical and electrical stresses associated with repeated switching-such as starting/stopping large motors or switching circuits in auxiliary power systems-without causing grid disturbances.

Comprehensive Fault Protection
Short-circuit protection: In the event of a short-circuit fault, it rapidly interrupts high currents, limiting the impact on equipment and preventing severe incidents such as electrical fires or equipment burnout.
Overload protection: If the load current consistently exceeds the rated value, the breaker trips automatically after a preset delay, preventing equipment from overheating or aging prematurely and thereby extending its service life.
Undervoltage/Overvoltage protection: It monitors circuit voltage and trips immediately if the voltage exceeds safe thresholds, protecting electrical equipment from damage caused by voltage anomalies.

Auxiliary Safety and Coordination
During maintenance, it establishes a clear isolation point, reliably separating the area under maintenance from the live grid to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.
It works in tandem with automatic devices-such as reclosers and automatic transfer switches (ATS)-to automatically restore power after a trip caused by a transient fault. This significantly enhances power supply reliability, making it ideal for facilities requiring continuous power, such as hospitals and data centers.
