Routine Inspection Cycle
Standard outdoor sites: Conduct visual inspections daily or per shift, focusing on checking for cracks in insulation components, verifying the status of opening/closing indicators, and checking the enclosure for water ingress or moisture.
High-load, coastal (salt spray), or heavily polluted areas: Increase frequency to twice daily; conduct additional special inspections after rain or heavy fog, and promptly clean accumulated dirt from insulation surfaces.

Standard Periodic Maintenance Cycle
Monthly maintenance: Clean insulation components, tighten secondary circuit terminals, and test basic insulation resistance; applicable to all standard operating scenarios.
Quarterly maintenance: Visually inspect the vacuum interrupter; test mechanical characteristics such as opening/closing times and contact bounce duration; identify potential operational issues.
Annual maintenance: Fully test the vacuum level of the interrupter, verify protection settings, apply grease to operating mechanism transmission parts, and perform infrared thermography on the entire circuit.

In-depth Overhaul Cycle
Minor overhaul: Conducted every 2–3 years under standard operating conditions; involves disassembling and inspecting core components, adjusting contact over-travel and stroke parameters, and replacing aged seals.
Major overhaul: The industry standard is once every 5 years; for newly commissioned equipment, the first major overhaul is recommended after one year of operation. Immediate special maintenance (requiring a power outage) is necessary if the unit has tripped due to a fault more than three times.
Adjustments for special scenarios: For frequently operated industrial sites or renewable energy plants, the major overhaul cycle may be shortened to every 2 years to account for the accelerated rate of equipment wear.
