A zinc oxide arrester is installed at the center of the cart to provide protection against lightning and switching overvoltage. It responds quickly and helps keep residual voltage low, protecting the primary equipment inside the switchgear. The pull-out cart frame allows the arrester to be serviced, tested, or replaced without removing the switchgear cabinet. The chassis and secondary plug are also interchangeable with those of the breaker handcart in the same cabinet, making replacement more convenient. A five-prevention mechanical interlock prevents withdrawal under live conditions and helps prevent incorrect operation. A flexible copper bar connection reduces installation stress and provides stable electrical conduction. Production can follow customer samples, and no minimum order quantity is required.

Three voltage classes are available: 12kV (10kV system), 24kV, and 40.5kV. The rated voltage is 12kV, 24kV, or 40.5kV according to the selected voltage class. The rated frequency is 50Hz for all three classes. The 1-minute power frequency withstand voltage for phase-to-ground is 42kV, 65kV, and 95kV. Peak lightning impulse withstand voltage is 75kV, 125kV, and 185kV.

Arrester model, continuous operating voltage, nominal discharge current, and other parameters are selected according to the corresponding voltage class. Matching switchgear includes KYN28A-12, KYN28A-24, and KYN61-40.5. The cart uses a manual screw mechanism for roll-in and roll-out operation.
