Prevention at the Source: Selection and Installation
Material Selection Based on Operating Conditions:Prioritize models featuring stainless steel pivot pins, oil-free composite bushings, and sealed ball bearings. Use stainless steel or zinc-diffused materials for mechanism housings and high-strength porcelain instead of standard porcelain for support insulators to fundamentally enhance corrosion resistance.
Strict Installation and Acceptance: Conduct a teardown inspection during installation to verify that factory-installed fasteners are secure, lubrication is adequate, and balance springs are oriented correctly. Strictly adhere to installation procedures to prevent infrastructure defects from carrying over into the operational phase.
Matching Environmental Ratings: For areas with heavy pollution or high coastal salinity, select products with enhanced pollution resistance and increased creepage distance to avoid frequent pollution flashover issues later on.

Targeted Prevention of Overheating in Conductive Circuits
Optimizing Conductive Structures: Install flexible conductive straps between contact fingers and the contact finger carrier to prevent loss of elasticity caused by heating from current flowing through the springs. Replace rolling-contact terminal blocks with flexible connection structures and install O-ring seals to prevent rainwater and salt spray from seeping in and oxidizing contact surfaces.
Standardizing Installation Procedures: Ensure contact surfaces are polished smooth and free of burrs; apply a layer of qualified conductive paste with a thickness of ≤0.15mm. Tighten bolts using a diagonal torque pattern to ensure uniform contact pressure, and strictly prohibit the use of ordinary petroleum jelly as a substitute for conductive paste.
Regular Inspection and Troubleshooting: Use infrared thermal imagers for routine temperature monitoring, focusing on critical components such as contacts and terminal blocks. Immediately schedule a power outage for maintenance if any point exceeds 70°C to prevent a vicious cycle of escalating heat.
